Business Development Coordinator, Disputes and Antitrust
This role is to support business development and client development activities for the disputes and antitrust practices in the London office.
- Assist with the preparation of pitches.
- Assist with the preparation of standard materials (credentials, pitches, bios etc.) and keep up to date.
- Carry out research, including on competitors, clients, markets.
- Support practice groups with local and pan-European legal directory and award submissions.
- Facilitate communication between partners within practices, industry groups or offices.
- Support cross-selling initiatives.
- Support implementation of Practice Group plans.
- Support the organisation and execution of internal and external events.
Major Tasks
Practice Support
- Provide support to partners and lawyers in the various practice groups.
- Assist with the development and execution of the Practice Group plan.
- Maintain marketing materials, standard slides, credentials, pitch materials and bios for the group.
- Support the analysis and tracking of key clients and targets.
- Support cross-selling efforts.
- Support practice groups with local and pan-European legal directory and award submissions.
- Assist with the organization of practice group meetings, including preparing agendas, preparing minutes, and documenting actions.
- Assist with the organization and preparation of materials for internal practice or industry group meetings.
Pitch Support
- Support the preparation of credentials and pitches, tailoring materials for individual clients.
- Track and store standard text and materials for pitches and bios.
- Refining, growing and maintaining the Firm’s collection of materials as they relate to the practice group(s).
- Maintaining records for, and analysing outcomes of, pitches and fee proposals.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain data held on key clients, especially in Microsoft Dynamics.
- Maintain mailing lists for key clients of practices.
- Prepare reports for partners on client development activities.
- Carry out research on clients, people and markets working together with the Global Competitive Research Team.
Client Events
- Create invitee lists by liaising with the team and lawyers.
- Create project plan for event.
- Assist with reporting.
Marketing and Communication
- Support the PR/Media team on the promotion of publications/client reports.
- Liaise with Communications Teams on website content and other practice-specific content, respectively.
Skills and Competencies
Education/Experience
- Educates to degree or equivalent.
- Minimum two years business development experience in an international law firm or professional services organization.
Skills
- General knowledge of business and financial markets.
- Willingness to learn about Cleary practices products and become a skilled technician in go-to market strategies.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
