We represent the gamut of metals and mining interests—from aluminum to zinc—and in countries all over the world—from Argentina to Zambia. Notably, Cleary is international counsel to the world’s leading iron ore producer, have represented some of the largest mining companies in the world on numerous matters and have helped to create the largest steel producer in the world. Over the years, we have also represented a major aluminum producer on matters affecting its business globally.

Our firm offers particular strengths in setting up commercial operations, assisting with IPOs, handling the securitization of receivables, negotiating cross-border joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions, advising on international antitrust and trade matters, and negotiating project finance, lease finance, and other types of financial arrangements.
