Staples Acquired by Sycamore Partners for Approximately $6.9 Billion

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Barclays and Morgan Stanley as financial advisors to Staples, which has announced that it has entered into a merger agreement in which investment funds managed by private equity firm Sycamore Partners will acquire Staples for approximately $6.9 billion.

The acquisition was announced on June 28, 2017.
