Cleary Gottlieb Welcomes Amanda Toy as a Partner in the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Group

Cleary announced today that Amanda Toy joined the firm as a partner in the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Group in New York.

Her practice focuses on all aspects of executive compensation and benefits, advising clients in a broad range of industries in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, spin-offs, IPOs, financings and other corporate transactions, and counseling clients on the design and implementation of compensatory arrangements, corporate governance, and compensation disclosure matters.

In addition to her extensive transactional experience, Amanda also advises public and private companies, private investment funds, executives and boards on a broad range of executive compensation and benefits matters, including the negotiation of employment and compensation arrangements, equity incentive plans, and their securities, tax, and governance implications. She also advises the boards and their compensation committees on senior leadership changes, executive compensation oversight, and compensation disclosure issues.

Prior to joining Cleary, Amanda was an associate at another international law firm in New York. She received a J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.
