Cleary Gottlieb represented Perfetti Van Melle Holding B.V. in the acquisition of the Chupa Chups group, active in the manufacturing and distribution of sugar confectionery products. The share purchase agreement was signed in Barcelona on June 30, 2006, and the transaction is expected to close by the end of July.
