Cleary Gottlieb is representing Keane International, which is majority-owned by Citigroup Venture Capital International Technology Holdings, in its sale to NTT DATA Corporation. The merger was announced on October 29 and closing is subject to regulatory clearances. In 2007, Cleary Gottlieb represented Citigroup Venture Capital International and its portfolio company, Caritor, when they acquired Keane in a leveraged buyout valued at approximately $854 million.
Keane and NTT Data are both international IT services providers.
