GlaxoSmithKline in Acquisition of Praecis Pharmaceuticals

Cleary Gottlieb is representing GlaxoSmithKline, one of the world’s leading research-based pharmaceutical companies, in connection with its all cash acquisition of Praecis Pharmaceuticals. The agreement was announced on December 21st and the tender offer is scheduled to expire on February 6.

Cleary Gottlieb has also represented GlaxoSmithKline in its recent acquisitions of CNS and Corixa. Praecis is a biopharmaceutical company focused on drug discovery technology.
