IK Partners in Acquisition of Majority Stake in Dains Accountants

Cleary Gottlieb advised IK Partners (“IK”) in connection with its investment in Dains Accountants (“Dains”), a leading provider of accountancy and business advisory services in the UK.

IK’s investment will be made via IK X Fund and IK will succeed Horizon Capital as the majority shareholder.

IK is a European mid-market private equity firm focused on mid and small cap investments in the Benelux, DACH, France, Nordics, and the UK. Established in 1926 and based in Birmingham, Dains provides a comprehensive suite of accounting and business advisory services to fast-growing small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK and Ireland.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025.
