India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) has named Cleary Gottlieb among the top 15 international firms for India-related work in its 16th annual report on law firms operating in the region.
The report highlights Cleary’s “exceptional year on India-related transactions and disputes,” and includes client commendations for partners Tihir Sarkar, Nallini Puri, and Sunil Gadhia.
The report also mentions the firm’s recent work for Goldman Sachs, the largest shareholder in ReNew Power, on the company’s Nasdaq listing through a business combination with special purpose acquisition company RMG Acquisition Corporation II—the first de-SPAC transaction and Nasdaq listing by an Indian renewable company; TPG Rise Climate on its $1 billion investment with co-investor ADQ of Abu Dhabi in Tata Motors’ electric vehicle and infrastructure business; and Wockhardt on its collaboration with Serum Life Sciences UK to deliver a global vaccine program.
Last year, Cleary was recognized by IBLJ as a “Key Player” for India-related work in its 15th annual report on law firms operating in the region.
