Cleary Gottlieb represented Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. in the placement of 15,535,601 treasury shares to institutional investors, corresponding to approximately 1% of its share capital, for consideration of approximately €217 million following an accelerated bookbuilding process. BNP Paribas, Morgan Stanley and UBS Investment Bank acted as Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners for the placement. The transaction was announced on July 10 and was settled on July 15.
