Giorgio Risso

Giorgio Risso’s practice focuses on international dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on public and private international law.
Giorgio has experience representing multinational corporations and sovereigns in complex matters and high-stakes disputes across a range of industries, including telecommunications, media, financial services, and energy and natural resources. Giorgio has represented clients in arbitrations under the ICSID, ICC, and UNCITRAL rules, seated in the world’s most frequently selected arbitral seats, including Paris, Geneva, London, Vienna, and Milan, as well as in court proceedings involving cross-border issues and/or foreign jurisdictions.
Giorgio joined the firm in 2017. From 2020 to 2021 he practiced in the London office of an international law firm. Before joining Cleary Gottlieb, Giorgio was a Research Fellow at the University of Genoa and a Visiting Researcher at King’s College London.
