Gabriel J. Lazarus’s practice focuses on antitrust and competition.

Gabriel advises clients through all phases of transactions facing scrutiny by the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and competition agencies throughout Europe.  He has represented parties on both sides of antitrust litigation in federal court.  Gabriel also counsels clients about how to lawfully collaborate with other businesses.

Gabriel joined the firm in 2019.

  • ASSA ABLOY in litigation brought by the DOJ to enjoin its acquisition of Spectrum Brands’ Hardware and Home Improvement division, resulting in the first consent decree resolving a merger challenge since January 2022

  • Change Healthcare in defeating a lawsuit filed by the DOJ and two states seeking to enjoin its merger with UnitedHealth Group

  • Netafim, a leading provider of micro-irrigation equipment, in claims against Jain stemming from the acquisition of California distributors

  • Altaris Capital Partners in acquisitions of numerous pharmaceutical and medical device companies

  • T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom in litigation brought by fourteen attorneys general seeking to enjoin the acquisition of Sprint

  • Keurig in ongoing private litigation alleging anticompetitive conduct including exclusionary product design
