Gabriel J. Lazarus’ practice focuses on antitrust and competition.

He counsels clients through all phases of transactions facing scrutiny from the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and other competition agencies throughout the world. Gabriel has advised companies in an array of antitrust litigation, including representing both buyers and sellers in defeating lawsuits by U.S. enforcers seeking to enjoin mergers. He also advises clients about antitrust compliance across their operations.

Gabriel joined the firm in 2019.

  • ASSA ABLOY in litigation brought by the DOJ to enjoin its acquisition of Spectrum Brands’ Hardware and Home Improvement division, resulting in the first consent decree resolving a merger challenge since January 2022.

  • Change Healthcare in defeating a lawsuit filed by the DOJ and two states seeking to enjoin its merger with UnitedHealth Group.

  • Netafim, a leading provider of micro-irrigation equipment, in claims against Jain stemming from the acquisition of California distributors.

  • Altaris Capital Partners in acquisitions of numerous pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

  • T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom in litigation brought by fourteen attorneys general seeking to enjoin the acquisition of Sprint.

  • Keurig in ongoing private litigation alleging anticompetitive conduct including exclusionary product design.
