Self-Reporting

Companies may have obligations to disclose breaches of laws and regulations. Even if self-reporting is not required, it may lead to benefits such as reduced penalties. However, self-reporting also has risks, including bringing increased scrutiny. Decisions to self-report should be carefully considered in consultation with counsel.
