On October 4, the Italian Government approved a Law Decree, aimed at promoting the establishment and growth of innovative start-ups in Italy.

The attached memo describes the measures applicable to the innovative start-ups, including: (i) amendments to (or exemptions from) the existing rules applicable to Italian companies, aimed at facilitating the setting up of start-up companies, in particular by eliminating bureaucratic and legislative barriers; and (ii) economic incentives, including tax benefits and support for access to credit.

Il 4 ottobre 2012 il Consiglio dei Ministri ha approvato con decreto legge un pacchetto di misure volte a favorire la nascita e lo sviluppo di nuove imprese innovative.

L’Alert Memo allegato illustra le misure adottate a favore delle start-up innovative, tra le quali: (i) modifiche (anche derogatorie) alla disciplina ordinariamente applicabile alle società italiane, intese a facilitare l’avvio delle start-up, rimuovendo ostacoli burocratici e normativi; e (ii) incentivi per lo sviluppo sotto forma di agevolazioni fiscali e per l’accesso al credito.
