On January 21, 2011, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission announced new thresholds for pre-merger notifications under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. Among the changes, the minimum “size-of-transaction” threshold will increase from $63.4 million to $66.0 million. The new thresholds will take effect on February 24, 2011.
