On May 4, 2007, the Washington office authored an Alert Memorandum entitled, “Foreign Executives Arrested in U.S. On Antitrust Charges.” The Alert discusses the U.S. Department of Justice stepping up its criminal enforcement efforts by arresting here in the U.S. eight foreign executives on antitrust charges. This recent event demonstrates dramatically the resolve U.S. antitrust authorities are using to fight international cartel activities.
