EU Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency

On September 14, 2011, the European Parliament approved the Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency, a new set of rules creating an EU-wide legal framework to prevent market abuse and reinforce the transparency and integrity of wholesale energy markets. The EU Council of Ministers is expected to approve the
version adopted by the European Parliament.
