COMESA Amends Thresholds and Filing Fees and Issues Final Guidelines on Merger Review

On April 8, 2015, the COMESA Competition Commission (“the CCC”) announced significant revisions to the merger notification thresholds and a reduction of the filing fees for COMESA merger filings. This alert memorandum explains these recent developments as well as the key changes between the draft Merger Guidelines issued by the CCC in 2013 (the subject of our previous alert memorandum) and the final version of the CCC’s Merger Guidelines released in late October 2014.
