The European Parliament recently adopted amendments to the Prospectus Directive. The amendments are expected to come into force in September or October 2010. Thereafter, EEA Member States will be required to implement the amendments into national law within 18 months, i.e. by March or April 2012. Some of the changes deserve consideration now, however, even before they come into force.
