Verizon in $5.3 Billion Acquisition of MCI

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Verizon on international antitrust matters arising out of its pending acquisition of MCI. Verizon has agreed to acquire MCI for $4.8 billion in equity and $488 million in cash (a total value of approximately $5.3 billion).
