Richard Cooper Named ‘Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer’ by Turnarounds and Workouts

Cleary Gottlieb partner Richard J. Cooper has been named an “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer” for 2016 by Turnarounds and Workouts.

He is one of only 12 lawyers nationwide chosen for this award.

This honor recognizes Rich’s role in advising on some of the most prominent and noteworthy bankruptcies and restructurings, including the two largest municipal restructurings in U.S. history. Notably, he has done work for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, Oi S.A. and other cross-border restructurings.
