In Memoriam — Neil P. Forrest

Cleary Gottlieb mourns the loss of senior attorney Neil Forrest, who passed away on February 12, 2015.

Neil joined Cleary’s New York office in 1980, and after stints at other New York City firms, rejoined the firm in July 2004.

“Neil was a terrific lawyer and a wonderful colleague and friend throughout his time with us,” Managing Partner Mark Leddy said. “He will be greatly missed.”

For more than 30 years, Neil helped a diverse range of companies and individuals with bankruptcy and restructuring and litigation matters. As Mark noted in a message to the firm, Neil greatly enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside Cleary colleagues on some of the firm’s largest and most significant matters.

Neil is survived by his wife, Alisa, and their children Andrew, Jennifer and Matthew.
