Grupo Bimbo’s $275 Million Sustainability-Linked Revolving Credit Facility

Cleary Gottlieb advised BBVA México S.A. as lender to Grupo Bimbo S.A.B. de C.V. (Grupo Bimbo) in an approximately $275 million (MXP $5 billion) sustainability-linked revolving credit facility denominated in Mexican pesos.

The facility is guaranteed by Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc., Bimbo S.A. de C.V., and Barcel S.A. de C.V.

The facility signed and closed on April 13, 2023. The sustainability-linked features of the facility incentivize the borrower to meet specific environmental sustainability targets in exchange for reduced interest rates.
