Google’s $32 Billion Acquisition of Wiz

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Google on the antitrust aspects of its $32 billion acquisition of Wiz Inc. (Wiz), a leading cloud security platform headquartered in New York.

Once closed, Wiz will join Google Cloud.

The transaction represents a significant investment by Google Cloud to accelerate two major trends in the AI era: improved cloud security and customers’ ability to use multiple clouds. Cleary has represented Google in connection with numerous prior acquisitions, including its acquisitions of Mandiant, Motorola Mobility, AdMob, Fitbit, DoubleClick, and YouTube.
