Cleary Gottlieb has been ranked in the top 20 of The American Lawyer’s annual Diversity Scorecard, a ranking of law firms based on the percentage of diverse lawyers in their U.S. offices.
This is the seventh consecutive year that Cleary has been recognized on the list.
Notably, Cleary ranked 3rd for LGBTQ+ representation and 18th for minority representation.
The Diversity Scorecard records firms using a series of metrics assessing their racial and ethnic diversity across lawyer head count by role; leadership of the executive committee, offices, and practice and industry groups; and their hiring, retention, and promotion of diverse talent. The Diversity Score is determined by combining the scores for the leadership, talent management, equity partner, and nonequity partner, associate, and other attorney sections.
