Cleary Gottlieb Wins "Russian Law Firm of the Year" for a Fifth Time

Cleary Gottlieb was named “Russian Law Firm of the Year” at the International Financial Law Review’s 2014 European Awards presented in London on April 3. This marks an unprecedented fifth time the firm has been honored and the second year in a row.

Notable projects Cleary Gottlieb has advised on in the past year include advising Rosneft on its acquisition of TNK-BP; MegaFon, Gazprom and Alrosa in complex M&A matters; Lenta and Alrosa on their IPOs; FESCO, Gazprom neft, Novatek, Alliance Oil and PSB on their debt offerings; Rostelecom on its complex domestic restructuring; Rusal, Rosneft and Lenta on cross-border financings; and various Russian clients on international arbitration and litigation matters.

Two deals on which the firm advised were also named “Deals of the Year” in the M&A and restructuring categories.
