Cleary Gottlieb has won Law360’s Securities Practice Group of the Year award for the second year in a row.
Law360 named Cleary one of 2018’s leaders in securing landmark securities victories and noted that “working in unprecedented territory, whether in the public eye, a narrow time frame or both, has been a common theme for Cleary, especially in the past two years.” Law360 highlighted recent victories for Cleary’s clients, including Petrobras in securing final approval for a class action settlement agreement, Shari Redstone and National Amusements Inc. in the litigation against and settlement agreement with CBS Corporation, and Synutra in obtaining the dismissal of a challenge to shareholders’ take-private transaction.
“The things we’ve been working on really reflect the diversity of our practice and the versatility of our lawyers here,” New York-based partner Roger Cooper told Law360. “The profile of cases is different from last year, but if you look at them together you really see the broad reach of our practice.”
This award is one of four Law360 Practice Group of the Year awards that the firm has received in 2018. To read Law360’s full profile on Cleary’s securities group, click here.
