Cleary Gottlieb Wins Law360 International Arbitration Practice Group of the Year

Cleary Gottlieb has won Law360’s International Arbitration Practice Group of the Year award for its work securing some of the biggest arbitration wins in 2018.
The group was recognized for securing major wins on behalf of Western Digital’s SanDisk subsidiary in multiple ICC arbitration proceedings and related litigation against Toshiba Corp., Tatneft in obtaining a 9-figure award in an UNCITRAL arbitration arising out of a forcible raider takeover of the Kremenchug refinery in Ukraine, Agfa-Gevaert Group in successfully defending an ICC arbitration under German law alleging approximately €450 million in damages related to the sale of the company’s former consumer imaging division. Cleary was also recognized as serving as counsel to Vitro Flat Glass in a breach of contract dispute between Vitro and its counterparties, Fuyao Glass Illinois, Inc. and Fuyao Glass America Inc.

The firm was also recognized as an International Arbitration Group of the Year by Law360 in 2016.
