Cleary Gottlieb Wins FinanceAsia's Korea Deal of the Year

Cleary Gottlieb won FinanceAsia’s Best Korea Deal of 2007 for its representation of Samsung Card and the selling shareholders in the $620 million IPO of Samsung Card. The publication noted this transaction, which is the first domestic IPO with an international tranche, as a “deal [that] pioneered a new issuance model that allows Korean and foreign investors to buy into the same domestically-traded pool of shares.” The award was announced December 10, 2007.
