Cleary Gottlieb Wins 2019 Euromoney Americas Rising Star Awards

At Euromoney Legal Media Group’s second annual Americas Rising Star Awards, Cleary Gottlieb was recognized for the following:

• Matter of the Year (DOJ antitrust approval for Disney’s $71.3 acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s assets)
• Deal of the Year (Financing of ESL’s $5.2 billion acquisition of Sears Holdings)

Cleary partner Ari MacKinnon was also honored as a Rising Star in Commercial Arbitration, and partners Ken Reinker and Katie Reaves were recognized for their work on the Matter of the Year and Deal of the Year.

The awards celebrate the achievements of firms “setting the standard in terms of attracting, developing, retaining, and promoting talent and rising star attorneys leading the field in the legal sector across the Americas.”
