The article highlighted associate Mohamed Taha and alumnus John Kwan, who launched capital markets-focused legal tech company 10BE5 last September after bringing it to the attention of the firm’s innovation committee. The article noted how Mohamed and John felt that the environment within the firm was welcoming and open to new ideas.

The articled also noted how Cleary has benefited from the launch of 10BE5. The firm has taken a 3% share in the new company, and its clients have been among the first to take advantage of efficiencies generated by the company’s inaugural product.

Cleary partner Polina Lyadnova was quoted in the article about how the product makes the lives of the firm’s lawyers easier, but also works as a business development tool for clients.
