March 28, 2017

Cleary Gottlieb is in the top-two global ranking for “Best Newsletters” by The Institute of Competition Law’s Antitrust Writing Awards 2017.

Cleary partner Romano Subiotto QC and associate Jacopo Figus Diaz also won “Best Business Article” in the Intellectual Property category for their article, “Lundbeck v Commission: Reverse Payment Patent Settlements as Restrictions of Competition by Object,” published in the Journal of European Competition Law & Practice. Seven other articles written by Cleary lawyers were also shortlisted in the top 100 best articles based on selections by the Institute’s steering committee and online reader votes.

Each year, the Antitrust Writing Awards honors leading firms based on a survey of 4,500 general counsels and selects 10 of the best articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. The Institute of Competition Law publishes Concurrences, a quarterly peer-reviewed journal dedicated to EU and national antitrust law. The awards were presented on March 28, 2017, in Washington, D.C.
