Global Arbitration Review once again has named Cleary Gottlieb among the world’s top 20 busiest international arbitration practices according to GAR’s eighth annual report, published February 26.
The rankings are based on a range of criteria, including the number of hearings (merits and jurisdictional) and the amount of money at stake; the number of hours billed to arbitration; and the number of arbitral appointments a firm’s members are handling.
In its profile of the firm, GAR noted that “clients measure performance on reputation, experience and capacity … Cleary is one of the few firms with the global presence to represent governments wherever their bonds are sold or creditors try to seize assets.”
