Cleary Gottlieb Named Telecommunications Firm of the Year by TopLegal

Cleary Gottlieb was named “Italian Telecommunications Firm of the Year” at the 2018 TopLegal Industry Awards.

The nomination panel noted that, “Cleary plays a leading role in antitrust battles. It assisted Telecom Italia in winning antitrust litigation concerning an action for damages of approximately €730 million, for allegedly discriminatory practices in the sector of value added services (VAS) provided to users.”

TopLegal is a specialized trade journal covering the Italian legal market. The shortlist and the final award for each category were determined by TopLegal and a panel composed by the general counsel of leading Italian companies, as well as professionals from the worlds of finance and business.

The TopLegal awards ceremony was held in Milan on May 8, 2018.
