For the sixth consecutive year, Cleary Gottlieb has been ranked by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) as among the “Best Places to Work” for members of the LGBTQ community, with a perfect score of 100% on the 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
The CEI is the HRC’s national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. Cleary again joins the ranks of an elite group of major U.S. businesses that also received top marks this year.
To achieve a perfect score and the coveted distinction of “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality,” firms must have fully inclusive equal employment opportunity policies, provide equal employment benefits, demonstrate organizational LGBTQ competency, evidence their commitment to equality publicly, and implement internal guidelines prohibiting philanthropic giving to organizations that discriminate against LGBTQ people.
