Cleary Gottlieb acted as French and English law counsel to Akuo Energy for the credit documentation relating to the construction of a wind park in Croatia. The project was financed through a €47 million senior facility agreement and a €11.5 million VAT facility agreement, representing about 65% of the project’s total investment cost. The borrower was the Croatian company Aiolos project d.o.o., currently held at 50% by a Luxembourg subsidiary of Akuo Energy. The lenders included Erste Group Bank and Société Générale. The closing took place on November 17, 2014.
