Accor in Partnership With LVMH for Development of Orient Express Brand

Cleary Gottlieb represented Accor in its strategic partnership with LVMH for the development of the Orient Express brand, including new iconic ventures for trains, hotels, and sailing ships.

The partnership consists of an investment by LVMH in the entity owning the Orient Express brand, in the entity operating the future hotels and trains associated with this brand, as well as in the entity owning the two cruise ships associated with the project. The renaissance of an historic train and the launch of the first Orient Express sailing ship in 2026 will be the next steps of this partnership.

The transaction closed on June 13, 2024.
