Overview

New York, New York

Cleary Gottlieb and JP Morgan attorneys provided more than 30 small business legal consultations to pro bono clients attending the recent launch of WE Legal, a new initiative that aims to address the gender gap in entrepreneurship in New York.

Cleary partner Sandra Flow was a speaker at the event, along with Deputy Mayor Alicia Glen and NYC Small Business Services Commissioner Gregg Bishop.

The event marked the launch of the firm’s partnership with NYC’s Department of Small Business Services through its Women Entrepreneurs NYC (WE NYC) program, which provides free, holistic small business support to women entrepreneurs across the City.

The Cleary and JP Morgan attorney teams advised their pro bono clients on a range of corporate legal issues, allowing their clients to take the next steps toward growing their small businesses. In her remarks, Sandra discussed the firm’s commitment to supporting the success of small business owners and eliminating the barriers women face in forming and sustaining their businesses. The firm will join with WE NYC to host additional events in the future.
