Cleary Interview Program

Cleary Gottlieb is pleased to solicit applications for our 2025 Summer Associate positions in the New York, Washington, D.C., and Bay Area offices through the Cleary Interview Program (CIP).

As a summer associate at Cleary Gottlieb, you will have a unique, immersive experience while working on a diverse and exciting range of matters, including innovative deals, large corporate transactions, and high-profile litigation matters. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our lawyers, create meaningful relationships with colleagues, and be part of our world class and international practice.

Candidates who are interested in applying to work in one or more of Cleary’s U.S. offices should submit an application through our Cleary Interview Program (CIP) online portal.

Application Materials:

• Resume
• Law school transcript (unofficial copy is acceptable and second semester grades should be provided as a supplement if not available when application is submitted)
• Undergraduate transcript (unofficial copy is acceptable)
• Cover letter that may include, but not limited to, your interest in a legal career at Cleary Gottlieb as well as any practice area interests and/or geographical preferences.

Application Procedure:

• Applications will be accepted beginning June 1, 2024.
• Candidates should have an anticipated graduation date of spring 2026 and must be able to participate in Cleary Gottlieb’s 2025 Summer Associate Program for a minimum of 7 weeks.
• Selected candidates who receive an offer will have 14 days to respond. Extensions will not be granted. 
• Applications will be reviewed and considered on a rolling basis starting June 1.
