Cleary Gottlieb Named Law Firm of the Year

Cleary Gottlieb was named “Law Firm of the Year” at the IFLR Americas 2015 Awards, held in New York on March 26. Cleary earned a total of seven awards – more than any other firm.

In addition to receiving top overall honors, Cleary was recognized with the following awards:

Team of the Year

  • Restructuring
  • M&A
  • Debt-Equity Linked

Deal of the Year

  • Debt and Equity-Linked: CEMEX’s contingent convertible units offering
  • Private Equity: American Express’ spinout of its Travel Business unit
  • Restructuring: Overseas Shipholding Group’s successful restructuring and exit from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
