CI&T Acquires Somo for £46.7 Million

Cleary Gottlieb represented CI&T Inc. (CI&T) in its £46.7 million acquisition of Somo Global Ltd (Somo), an award-winning digital product agency headquartered in the UK.

The transaction, which signed on January 14, 2022, and closed on January 27, 2022, aims to strengthen CI&T’s growth in the EMEA region, and comes shortly after CI&T’s initial public offering on NYSE in November 2021.

CI&T is a Brazilian-headquartered global digital specialist, providing strategy, design, and software engineering services to some of the world’s leading brands, including Johnson & Johnson, AB InBev, Carrefour, and Google. Somo is a leading UK digital product agency founded in 2010, with offices in the UK, the U.S., and Colombia, and clients including Audi, Skoda, Siemens, and De Beers.
