Cleary Gottlieb partner Luke Barefoot will participate in the webinar, “Distressed Airlines: The Modern Toolkit for Asia and Beyond,” organized by INSOL International.

Luke will join a panel that will discuss the restructuring of three Asian airlines: (1) Thai Airways, (2) NOK Air, and (3) Hong Kong Airlines, and the restructuring of LATAM Airlines, based in Chile. 

The panel will discuss the various challenges which may arise during an airline restructuring and the available tools in different jurisdictions to meet such challenges. Specifically, the panel will address topics such as the international dynamics of an airline restructuring, securing financing opportunities in a restructuring plan, and strategies for gathering creditor support.
