Cleary Gottlieb hosted the seminar, “State of the AI Union – An Insightful Update on U.S. Litigation and Legislative and Enforcement Developments in Generative AI.”

The discussion focused on litigation and legislative and enforcement updates with respect to the development and use of generative AI. Among other topics, Cleary lawyers handling some of the most high-profile generative AI cases and matters:

  • Explained the key IP-based lawsuits against AI developers, including the Andersen v. Stability AI, Kadrey v. Meta Platforms, and New York Times Co. v. Microsoft cases;
  • Discussed recent guidance on AI issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Copyright Office;
  • Provided recent and further anticipated guidance on AI issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Copyright Office;
